About the event
So you have a small child in your life, then you know chaos well. We live in busy times with mad expectations. With many of us juggling work, household responsibilities and the mental load of bringinging up kids, the skill of staying genuinely centred and grounded is gold.
Let’s be real, for many mums, parenting can bring up a rage we never knew existed; anger, frustration and fear. There can be a lot of shame in talking about this but there is a lot we can do to work with our anger and frustration as a gift and a messenger to illuminate our unmet needs and unhealed wounds.
To stay sturdy and hold space for our kids' big emotions whilst also tending to our own is big.
Thriving amidst chaos (without repressing) involves both the body and the mind. In this session we will:
- Identify your triggers and the effect they have upon your emotions
- Learn body based tools to stay centred, grounded and consciously aware no matter what parenting throws at you.
- Explore overstimulation and how this can profoundly affect your experience of parenthood
- Learn how to resource your nervous system
- Unearth limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck in survival mode
- Learn mindset tools to help you have an abundant, growth mindset.
This workshop is for you if you are:
- Shocked by how angry parenting makes you
- Yearning to find more ease and flow in parenthood
- Stressed or anxious
- You have a very reactive nervous system and yearn for peace
About Emily
Emily is a Conscious Parenting Coach, Somatic Therapist, Breathcoach and Mum of 2. She works with parents (with children of all ages) to let go of what's not serving them so they can rise into inner trust and handle any parenting situation with calm, sturdy confidence. She works 1:1, with co-parents and with groups to help parents get intentional and consciously aware in their parenting. She uses a parent centric body based approach to identify the limiting beliefs, patterns, mindsets and conditioning that keep parents stuck.
When people enter a career they often get Continuing Professional Development, mentoring, review meetings and even coaching… but in parenting we get close to nothing… and why? Parenting is important work, perhaps the most important work and it deserves support and reflection.
Parents who come to see Emily leave inspired and empowered. She offers clients practical strategies based in nonviolent communication and nervous system awareness and helps clients do the deeper work to discover what fears and patterns might be in the way from them being able to use the strategies.
