The Core Principles of Interior Design

Camilla Barden founder of Iddy Design Ltd will be giving participants a stage-by-stage lesson on how to approach an interior design project for any room in the home. The 90 minute workship will include;

• How to create a realistic budget
• How to plan a layout
• How to approach a design concept - where to begin when deciding the overall style and colour scheme
• How to design the hard finishes within a space
• How to choose statement furniture pieces
• How to add the finishing touches - a brief guide into how to make a space feel like home through the use of window dressing, lighting, artwork and accessories

Camilla has over nine years of experience in high-end residential interior design. After studying at KLC School of Design in Chelsea, Camilla set up an in-house interior design department in the London office of Berkeley Homes, widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading property developers. From Berkeley Homes, Camilla went on to set up Iddy Design Ltd which has enjoyed an exciting array of initial projects, including luxury houses and apartments in London and the surrounding counties, as well as overseas in Ghana. Camilla’s passion for design is what motivates her to continue challenging herself and her team with new projects and creative visions. She has also studied at The University of The Arts London, at Central Saint Martins, in order to enhance her understanding of art and design and to explore the world of creativity to its fullest capacity.
